Abandoned House
Watercolour

abandoned house ext persp 3.jpg

The paintings are of two separate locations, but both could work as a joint space. The top image is a house I saw in Glasgow (not as decrepit as I've drawn it), and the second is the interior of the Victoria Bath's Superintendent's Flat in Manchester (the flat is built above the entrance of the Bath house, with multiple direct accesses to the baths and washrooms below).

The Superintendent's flat has layers of wallpaper dating back 100 years, different areas showing different a time period and the ceiling wallpaper is literally alive with age . The room at the end of the corridor have stained glass windows that give it that yellow glow.
